The Nord Center is a private, non-profit agency providing comprehensive behavioral and mental health services to children, adolescents and adults in the greater Lorain County area. Services include outpatient counseling; sexual assault / rape crisis services; drug and alcohol addiction; dual diagnosis (substance abuse and mental illness); psychiatry and medication management; employment and vocational services; supportive housing as well as homelessness prevention. The Nord Center also offers culturally-specific services to bilingual and African-American consumers.
The Salvation Army in Elyria is dedicated to serving the men, women, and children who are at-risk and in need of financial, social service, and spiritual support.
