OTES 2.0 Overview - ESCEO

This OTES 2.0 overview provides administrators and teachers information on the framework, the OTES 2.0 rubric, HQSD and Professional Growth Plans/Improvement Plans.  This presentation contains all relevant links to access ODE resources, templates and FAQs.

OTES 2.0 is a professional growth model and is intended to be used to continually assist educators in enhancing teacher performance. An effective professional growth model considers a teacher’s instructional strengths, while supporting identified areas for improvement according to the profile of each educator. This process is to be collaborative, ongoing and supportive of the professional growth of the teacher.

The Teacher Performance Evaluation Rubric is to be scored holistically. This means evaluators will assess which level provides the best overall description of the teacher. The rating process is to occur on completion of each 30-minute observation and post-conference.
