Health & Safety
Students, faculty, and staff will be required to conduct home health checks each morning for COVID-19 related symptoms including measuring their own temperature daily before coming to school. Anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home and contact the school.
Students, faculty, or staff reporting symptoms while at school will be quarantined in an isolated room and attended by the school nurse.
Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 must contact the school nurse. ESCA will report necessary information to the East Shore Department of Health.

All faculty, staff, and students will be required to wear a mask. All students are required to bring their own face mask to school everyday.
Contact tracing protocols will be followed for all faculty, staff, and students.
All spaces and furniture in the building have been re-organized to allow for social distancing in compliance with state standards.
Hallway and stairwell traffic patterns have been formalized to facilitate safe transitions between periods.
Behavioral expectations and procedural policies have been adjusted for new distancing protocols. Dismissal times will be staggered to decrease hallway crowding at the conclusion of each day. Signage regarding social distancing and travel patterns will be place throughout the school.
Health & Safety
Classrooms have been equipped with live-streaming to enable students at home to attend class remotely. Students who are attending classes remotely will do so live according to the class schedule.
Classroom windows (seasonally) and doors will remain open to increase ventilation. Seating arrangements in classrooms will be in compliance with state, distancing standards, facing forward, and six feet distanced. Hand-sanitizer stations will be set up in every classroom and other areas of the school.
Remote Learning Option
Students will be allowed to remain home and opt for remote learning.
Families must make an instructional choice commitment until Progress Report (Mid-Trimester) or Trimester End.
ESCA will provide remote instruction at any phase for families who wish to keep children home for health and safety reasons.
Remote Learners will also start the week of September 1 with individual times to meet with their teachers and join full class on the first ALL CLASSES day, September 4.

Parents who drive their children to school are asked to do so no earlier than 7:45 am
All students report directly to their first period class, there are no homeroom classes. Students arriving after 8:00 am must enter the main entrance and will be marked tardy.
Sanitizing stations by all interior and exterior entrances will be provided.
Parents are not permitted into the building.
Pickup times will be staggered to manage the flow of students are:
2:15 Grades 6-8
2:30 Grades K-5
Families with students in more than one grade will follow the dismissal for the OLDEST STUDENT. For example, a family with students in grades 2, 4, and 7 will all be dismissed at 2:15.
