Screencastify

Screencastify if a screen recorder for Chrome. It is a FREE Chrome extension that allows you to record your screen and/or yourself. You can edit videos before sharing them with your students or others.

I use Screencastify to create all the videos I share with you!

While there is a free Screencastify version, there is also a paid one. However, the free account will allow you to create, and edit, unlimited videos as long as they are under 5 minutes! So, as long as you only need 5 minutes, the free account will be great for you!

➡️ It saves all of your videos to Google Drive (if you are signed in).

➡️ Create instructional videos for your students.

➡️ Teach routines to students (a great way for them to go back and watch when they forget).

➡️ Make videos for your parents on topics they may need to help their kids with.

➡️ Give verbal feedback.

You need to download the Google Chrome Extension for Screencastify and go through the process to set it up for the first time.

Screencastify does have a "Submit" option which allows teachers to have classrooms and create video assignments. However, you only get one active assignment at a time with the free account.
