8:30 – Teams arrive and assigned to practice rooms
(note: the practice boards will be covered and cannot be unveiled until the team captains return after their meeting.)
9:00 – 9:30 – Team captains will be in the Oak room to see unveiled boards and will receive instructions and will have time for Q&A
(note: we will try to broadcast this meeting to all the practice rooms and will post everything on the website at that time as well.)
9:30 – 11:30 – Plan/Build/Program/Iterate/Eat!
(note: multiple teams will be in each practice room and will need to cordially take turns on the practice boards.)
11:30 – 1:30 – COMPETE in Oak!
(We will have a schedule posted on the screens to let teams know when they need to be on-deck. Each team will compete in 3 matches, with each match lasting 2 minutes. During that time, no one may touch any item on the board (except their robot). Only team captains may pick up their robot to place it back on the designated start area(s) within that 2 minutes. More details are covered in the handbook that will be sent out soon…you can see last year’s on the website. )
1:35 – 1:45 – Awards Ceremony / Cleanup (results will be posted on this site at the conclusion of the competition.)
Grades 9 - 12 Robotics Registration
Registration for the G/T Spring Robotics Competition will only be accepted electronically. The team name, approximate student count, and student names are required. If you do not have this information, please enter “Team #1,” “Student 1,” and so on as a placeholder. One form MUST be filled out for EACH team entering the competition. When plans are finalized, email Vanessa Spann, G/T Technician, to update your submission/s.
Please note: you will be manually registered for the workshop in Region 7’s OmniTrack system.
If any of your students have any special circumstance, including but not limited to food allergies, any allergies that require an EpiPen, or service animals, please be sure to list them below. This will be used to ensure we can best meet your needs and the needs of your students.
