Region 19 HQIM Learning Lab
Fort Hancock is a small, unincorporated community located in Hudspeth County, in far West Texas, near the U.S.-Mexico border. It sits along the Rio Grande, about 55 miles southeast of El Paso.
Fort Hancock is primarily a rural, agricultural area, with many residents working in farming and ranching.
Fort Hancock Independent School District (ISD) is a small school district serving the Fort Hancock community and surrounding areas. It has a relatively small student enrollment, typically under 500 students across all grade levels.
Engaged in LASO Cycle 2 Strong Foundations Implementation for Amplify ,Eureka Math and Carnegie. FHISD is currently engaged in LASO Cycle III and the LEA is implementing Texas Bluebonnet Learning for SY 2025-2026
