ECDS Reporting

Prekindergarten program data reporting is mandatory for all LEAs who provide a Pre-K program. 

The data to be collected and reported into ECDS includes: 

• Demographic Information

• Sources of funding for Prekindergarten class

• Instrument administered from Commissioner's List of Approved PK Progress Monitoring Instruments

• Beginning-of-Year (BOY) and End-of-Year (EOY) scores from Commissioner's List of Approved PK Progress Monitoring Instruments

• Special program information

• Teacher qualifications to meet HQPK

• Course Section Data needed to determine: 

  • • Students enrolled in LEA PK classes, including the number of children who are eligible for free PK

    • Number of half-day and full-day PK classes offered by LEA and campus

    • Class size

    • Curriculum used in the program

• PK School Type (now reported at section level instead of LEA level)

• Childcare Operation Number (if part of a Pre-K Partnership)
