ESC Region 13's Beat the Heat is a multi-day professional development opportunity for educators who work with children ages 3-21 with significant intellectual and low incidence disabilities.
BTH will be held virtually on Thursday, June 17, and Friday, June 18, 2021. An ensemble of national and regional presenters will share best practices in special education. Attendees of the live virtual sessions will select from a variety of long or short sessions, depending on learning preferences. If you can't attend live, that's fine, too.
We know that it can be difficult to choose what session you want to attend at a live conference. There might be two different sessions at the same time that look interesting. Have no fear! After the conference is over participants may access the recordings for all of the sessions through 8/6/21.
Strands include: Curriculum & Instruction; Classroom Management & Organization; Challenging Behavior; Autism; Communication; Assistive Technology; Sensory Motor; Early Childhood Special Education (formerly PPCD), Transition, and Leadership.
All content will be available through 8/6/21.
