Texas Education Code §29.011. Transition Planning. (effective June 2017)
(b) The commissioner shall require each school district or shared services arrangement to designate at least one employee to serve as the district’s or shared services arrangement’s designee on transition and employment services for students enrolled in special education programs under this subchapter.... An individual designated under this subsection must provide information and resources about effective transition planning and services, .... and interagency coordination to ensure that local school staff communicate and collaborate with:
(1) students enrolled in special education programs under this subchapter and the parents of those students; and
(2) as appropriate, local and regional staff of the:
(A) Health and Human Services Commission;
(B) Texas Workforce Commission;
(C) Department of State Health Services; and
(D) Department of Family and Protective Services.

Texas Achieving a Better Life Experience (“Texas ABLE®”) Program
Established to encourage and assist individuals with disabilities and their families in saving funds to pay for many disability-related expenses critical to maintaining the individuals’ health, independence, and quality of life. The Texas ABLE Program is established and maintained by the Texas Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board with assistance from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.
