I'm thrilled to be celebrating my 25th year in education. Currently, I serve as the Educational Technology Coordinator for Rio Grande City Grulla ISD. My role involves enhancing PK-12 learning by seamlessly integrating curriculum and technology within the district. For me, teaching is a two-way street—I'm always learning to teach and teaching to learn.

Nancy writes and refines digital curricula and provides professional development sessions on technology integration and implementation for Sharyland. Nancy is passionate about sharing pedagogical strategies for successful EdTech implementation for teachers.
Social Studies Specialist

Jose Julian Saenz is a Rio Grande Valley Native and was born, raised, and educated in Edinburg, Texas. J.J.’s love for teaching history has him currently working as a Social Studies Specialist with Region One Education Service Center in Edinburg for 10 years now. He has always had an interest in integrating technology into the classroom since 2005. His goal now is to assist teachers to develop historical and geographical thinkers by emphasizing inquiry with the integration of technology.
The UTECH Conference helps educators from the Region One area use technology to solve tough problems in education. We seek proposals from educators in every career stage, from all backgrounds and all parts of the Region One area, and we love to see student participation too!

Advocate for equity. Share the importance of application and access to meet the needs of all learners.
Be inclusive. Choose co-presenters who represent diverse backgrounds, perspectives and experiences.
Be objective. Sell an idea, not a product or brand.
Innovate. Share your instructional ideas with new modalities and model innovation across education.
