Tie Breakers:
In an individual track, if two or more players receive the same time, they will each receive the same ranking and amount of points. The remaining players will continue to be placed in order without skipping any places and the associated points.
In the final leaderboard, if there are any ties for 1st - 3rd place, a tie breaker will be used to determine the placement of the teams starting with all teams tied for 1st place. This will continue if needed for any 2nd place ties and 3rd place ties until a clear 1st-3rd rank is decided. The tie breaker method will be as follows:
A tie breaker track will be selected
Teams will have a one week window to submit their top time
The leaderboard results for the tie-breaker track will determine the ranking of the tied teams
Fair play and Sportsmanship:
Due to the nature of this format of competition, we ask that all coaches/sponsors reflect fair play and sportsmanship by:
Making sure all participants abide by the competition rules
Properly submitting results without falsifying any information or photos
Having students complete trial runs at school and being a witness to their results
Making sure participants do not use any hacks or cheats of any kind to gain an unfair advantage
Reporting any possible exploits that may make the competition unfair
Updates:
Updates may be made during the competition if necessary to make it fair and accessible to the most students possible. Coaches will be emailed at the email address provided during registration.
Disputes:
In order to ensure fairness and accuracy in the competition, all submitted times will be reviewed. If a time appears significantly faster than the average for the track or beyond typical expectations for 150cc, we may investigate further to confirm the validity of the submission. This includes checking for potential errors, such as mistakenly using 200cc instead of 150cc. In such cases, we will reach out to the school/team for clarification and may request additional evidence to verify the submission.
Our goal is to maintain a fun, competitive, and fair environment for all participants. A Region One representative will resolve issues with the best possible outcome and fairness in mind. All Region One ESC rulings on disputes are final.
