My name is Juan Vicente Martínez, I'm 28 years old and I'm a Spanish videogame developer. I'm currently working at Abstraction Games, a company from the Netherlands, remotely from Spain. I have a great passion for programming and design. In this website you can find some of the projects I have worked on.
The Endless Dungeon (port)
For this project I worked with a small team (7-8 people) porting this game from Amplitude Studios to different consoles. I used Unity and help to port the game to PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. I worked mainly on bugfixing and checking TRCs
Gigantic : Rampage Edition
For this game I worked with a mid team (20-25 people) releasing a new version of the hero shooter launched in 2017 Gigantic. I worked developing some features (emote system, leaderboards, among others) using Unreal Engine 3 and Unreal Script. Apart from that I implemented and updated a lot of menus from the previous version of the game to a modern one, working together with designers and artists, some of them are : friends menu, skills menu, challenges menu, among others. For these menus I use Adobe Animate and Action Script.
Zool : Redimensioned (port)
I worked on this game as a student in Sheffield Hallam with other 5 classmates. With the help of a teacher, we ported this game entirely from PC to PS4 as a class project. I mainly focused on adapting the steam achievements to PS4 trophies system. Also helped with some save/load and audio issues.
Unannounced game
I worked on an internal game from the company using Godot and GDScript developing features, creating tools, performance and doing some bugfixing. I also help with the port to Nintendo Switch.
