Director of School Counseling

Mr. John Madden

Dear East Rockaway School Families,

I hope this message finds you well. It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Director of School Counseling in the East Rockaway School District. I am truly honored to be part of this wonderful community and am eager to support your child's educational journey.

I bring with me over 13 years of experience as a school counselor from the Oceanside School District. Additionally, I served as the Varsity Boys & Girls Swim coach, which allowed me to witness the power of determination and teamwork firsthand.

One principle I hold dear is finding the right individualized path for every student. I am committed to working closely with each student to ensure their unique needs are met, helping them achieve their full potential. Furthermore, partnership and collaboration between schools, families, and the community are essential to the success of our students. I look forward to strengthening these bonds to create an environment where every student can thrive.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns. Together, we can provide the support and guidance your child deserves on their path toward a successful and rewarding educational experience.

Warm regards,

John Madden
