Digital Video Production Teacher: Enrique Martin

These images were created by my students as an assignment to document history through their own lens. I explained to them the responsibility we have as digital media creators to document our surroundings so that future generations get a better understanding of what happened in today's present. This work gave my students a better understanding of how they were feeling and they were able to express it through photography. By sharing their work with other students, they understood that they weren't alone.
I noticed, with this assignment, my students participated a lot more that they had since the start of distance learning. They felt eager to share their pictures during class time. That is the power of the arts. If you successfully find the connection between your work and yourself you will get a better understanding of who you are and your creations will show it.Enrique Martin, Digital Video Production Teacher
