What can be anticipated regarding Covid?

We are expecting school to operate as usual in Fall 2021, while maintaining a number of protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of our community. While classes are expected to be held in-person, we will adapt as necessary with blended learning should the situation with COVID evolve. Please note that we request families to inform themselves of any self-isolation requirements prior to arriving and to plan on arriving in sufficient time to have completed that period before school starts. To get up to date information about France's current COVID related restrictions, please consult government COVID information

What is the daily class schedule?

Student schedules will be distributed upon arrival. The typical timetable is from 8:30 - 15:20 daily. The lunch period is from 12:50 - 13:40 for most students. Certain classes are offered from 15:30-17:10 for IBDP students.

What are my lunch options?

There are several options for lunch. Selection must be confirmed by September 13th, and is modifiable before each new trimester. Parents wishing to change must send a written request at that time to the Student Services coordinator and accounting so that billing can be adjusted accordingly.

  • Boarding Students Boarding students are expected to eat and remain on campus during the entire lunch period. MYP 4 & 5, DP1 and DP2 Boarders may be granted off-campus lunch privileges that will be established and validated by the Boarding team.

  • Day students are expected to leave campus during the lunch period. Day students may exceptionally eat at the Canteen for lunch – by pre-purchasing a lunch ticket from the Main Office. The current cost of a lunch ticket is 12€. This possibility should not occur more than twice weekly.

There are two other billed options:

  • Lunch box The Lunch box Option is billed for MYP 1 – 4 students each trimester (September – November, December – February and March - June). MYP 1 – 4 students are supervised in the Lunchbox program and are expected to eat on campus each day. They are not authorized to leave campus unless prior written parental permission is received.

  • Canteen Students The Canteen Option is billed each trimester (September – November, December – February and March - June). Students who are enrolled in the Canteen program are expected to eat on campus each day, and are not authorized to leave campus unless prior written parental permission is received.

What/when are RSIA Co-Curricular Activities?

A second sign up period takes place at the beginning of the second semester.

We offer a wide variety of activities to suit students' creative, athletic and associative interests and generally at no additional cost to families. We are strongly committed to our RSIA program and welcome motivated students to enroll.

Introduction of the Resource Room

The IB Middle Years Program and IB Diploma Program fully embrace and value the ideals of inclusive education. Given the student-centered, individualized approach of our program, student needs are met through differentiation in the classroom, support from the IB Coordinators, Teachers, Academic Coaches and Inclusive Access Arrangements, when necessary.

It can be beneficial in certain cases, however, to have access to additional, individualized support. In response to parent demand, we are very pleased to offer the Ermitage Resource Room which is available to qualifying students. Organized as an additional support class held from 15:30 - 17:00, the Resource Room will welcome students to meet with the Diverse Learning Needs Coordinator, Ms. Rachel Azrak, in small groups for a select number of sessions per week.

For further information, please contact Rachel Azrak, razrak@ermitage.fr Diverse Learning Coordinator.
