The Lloyd Youth Service Center Mission is to reduce barriers, which prevent students from being successful in school and to link parents and families with the necessary resources which will assist them in succeeding in life.
FRYSC’s are Family Resource Centers and Youth Service Centers and were established in 1990. The school based Kentucky Family Resource and Youth Service Centers are designed to promote the flow of resources and support to families in ways to strengthen the functioning and enhance the growth and development of the individual members of the family unit.
Family Resource Centers service the preschool and elementary schools and Youth Service Centers service middle and high Schools. The goal of FRYSC’s are to reduce barriers students may have that prevent them from being successful. The FRYSC’s strives to help every child and family succeed. We provide basic needs such as clothing, food, school supplies, transportation, health service referrals, free summer camps, literacy programs, adult education, job training and employment support, drug and alcohol referrals, mental health referrals, awareness programs and after school activities for the children. By removing barriers that prevent students from learning, we hope to have an impact on as many children as possible. Our entire program is funded by grants through the state and community donations. We are a tax free non profit program based in each school of the Erlanger-Elsmere Board of Education. All students who attend Erlanger-Elsmere Schools can utilize the Centers. That’s over 2327 students. We would not be able to provide such support to our children and families without the generous support of community businesses, volunteers, and donations.
