Dear JRMS Family,

We have now reached the last Sunday before we return to school. This can be a time of increased excitement, nervousness, or both—and I definitely fall into the "both" category!

This week, we took time to ensure the building is fully prepared to welcome back our students and staff. We revisited schedules, confirmed plans for professional development, and welcomed the newest members of our community at the New Staff Orientation.

Mrs. Dunn and I also fine-tuned our JRMS Faculty Meeting activities, which begin tomorrow. As this is my first here, I naturally feel a bit of added personal pressure, but I also share the sense of hope and optimism that visitors expressed during the summer. I am eager to begin our work together and build on the strong foundation already in place at our school.

I look forward to meeting more of you and your children in the coming days. I am confident that we will get off to a positive start and strengthen our partnership throughout the year.

Please note that our school and Main Office will be closed on Tuesday, August 25, from approximately 11:45 AM to 1:00 PM. Our teachers have scheduled training on new platforms, and I have dedicated this time to meet with all non-certified staff so we can engage in the same activities that the certified staff will participate in during Monday's Faculty Meeting. Consequently, the office will be closed and calls will go to voicemail, but we will check messages immediately following the conclusion of this important work.

I truly look forward to the excitement of a full school in action on Wednesday and to working together with you in this very special place.
