ER9 Welcomes New Teachers

ER9 was excited to welcome our newest educators this morning as they kicked off the 2026–2027 school year with New Teacher Orientation! The day began at JBHS with breakfast and a warm welcome from Dr. McKinnon, followed by tri-district learning before teachers headed back to their individual schools. We are thrilled to welcome Ms. King and Ms. Steimle to the JRMS community and look forward to a wonderful year ahead!

Ms. Alissa Olivier

Supervisor - Middle School Special Education

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Alissa Olivier to JRMS. Alissa is our new Supervisor of Special Education for Middle School. She will split her time between JRMS and HKMS. Alissa previously worked for Watertown Public Schools. We are thrilled to have her.

Ms. Kristin Schlechtweg Structured Literacy

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Kristin Schlechtweg to JRMS. Kristin fills the Structured Literacy position. Erin previously worked at East Ridge Middle School. We are thrilled to have her.

NEW ATTENDANCE PROCESS

Starting this year, parents will be required to document student absences and tardies through PowerSchool. Please click on the link within the letter to see specific directions on how to report absences.

JRMS PROGRAM OF STUDIES

The JRMS Program of Studies is a helpful resource for families who would like to learn more about the courses listed on their child’s schedule. It provides course descriptions and an overview of what students can expect to learn and experience in each class. We encourage families to use this guide to become familiar with their child’s courses and better understand their academic program for the year.
