At St Cadoc's, we recognise that homework can provide valuable opportunities for children to consolidate, deepen and extend their learning beyond the classroom. Homework activities are designed to complement classroom learning, encouraging children to apply their knowledge and skills, explore ideas further and develop confidence and independence. Homework is optional, recognising the importance of family time and the different needs and circumstances of our families.
We recently consulted with pupils and parents/carers to gather their views on homework. Below, you can find the consultation presentation alongside a summary of the feedback received from both pupils and parents. This feedback has directly informed the development of our Homework Policy, ensuring our approach reflects the views of our school community while continuing to support children's learning. This policy can be found in the "School Policies and Documents" section of our website.
