Vaulting is gymnastics and dance on a moving horse and can be practiced both competitively or non-competitively. Its origins stretch back at least two-thousand years.  It is one of the ten equestrian disciplines recognized by the FEI.  Therapeutic or interactive vaulting is also used as an activity for children and adults to develop balance, attention, gross motor skills and social skills.
