Strive is a cornerstone word at S. Bruce Smith. No matter where the passion of our students rests, we want them to strive towards improving themselves. We pride ourselves on setting goals and reflecting on personal growth, focusing on the whole student, and developing emotional intelligence throughout our school community.
Stewardship, teamwork, respect, initiative, vision and excellence. The Acronym for STRIVE really represents our school leadership team’s ultimate goals. The STRIVE team at our school attempts to achieve all of these things and much, much more. We focus on helping the community through various fundraisers such as collecting food for the food bank. We promote school events like beach day and other activities. If you like helping, this is the club for you.

S. Bruce Smith values community. Whether it is celebrating our many cultures and traditions, to getting together to highlight student achievement in all its forms, we want our students to feel cared for and capable. We are proud to partner with several community organizations as an additional way to support and value our students.
Student choice is an important part of how our students connect with S. Bruce Smith. Clubs and activities are often student driven and even sometimes, student led.
