six other Division Student Awards representing broad curricular themes, attributes of citizenship and overall commitment to learning
Division high schools may recognize one student for each award category.

Michael A. Strembitsky Award of Excellence
Deadline: April 5, 2024
Each year, the Michael A. Strembitsky Award of Excellence is given to the top three Grade 12 students in the Division who model inclusivity, leadership and compassion and have demonstrated excellence in their overall performance.
Recipients of the award will receive:
- Bronze - $1,500
- Silver - $2,000
- Gold - $2,500
CRITERIA
The nominees of the Michael A. Strembitsky Award of Excellence must exemplify:
excellence in personal, social and academic endeavours
keen interest in a broad selection of subjects and activities
willingness to seek meaningful change
initiative, courage, confidence and a commitment to excellence
co-operation with other students, staff and community members
potential to provide leadership throughout life
responsible participation in society

This community scholarship is presented annually to a student who has demonstrated outstanding performance in
good citizenship and service.

The nominee must have displayed outstanding characteristics in citizenship, leadership, and community service
and/or engagement in volunteer work, and must also have shown initiative and had a positive impact in the community/school.
