Ryan David-Riverbend Sports Performance Coordinator and Teacher

Hi there, my name is Ryan David and I have been a teacher at Riverbend for the previous 13 years, with 10 of these years as the Sports Performance Coordinator. I am extremely excited to work with all of the fantastic students who enter the program for the 2023/24 school year. I am extremely passionate about all things sports, and in particular athlete development. I spent years playing competitive baseball, hockey, and football, and I have come to realize the tremendous impact that sport has had on my life - athletics have taught me so many life skills, and provided me such wonderful opportunities. I look forward to another year of working with great kids in a setting where they can continue to develop their own passion for sport. I am very fortunate to teach at Riverbend, and be a part of the wonderful sports performance program that we have created.

CHELSEA ROSS- UofA Program Coordinator

Chelsea has been working with our Sports Performance students for the past seven years. Chelsea is responsible for all of our programming at the University of Alberta, doing a tremendous job of organizing our Riverbend students, facilities, and ensuring that we have the best staff working with our kids! Additionally, Chelsea teaches our kids a rugby unit, and it is often one of the most sought after activities because of her outstanding teaching as well as her ability to build relationships with our students.

In addition to Chelsea's role with the Green and Gold  Development Program, Chelsea is also an Assistant Coach with the Panda's Rugby Team. Chelsea was also a former player with the Panda's as well as Team Canada. She is an awesome person to have involved with our Sports Performance Program at Riverbend.
