Registered Apprenticeship Program - R.A.P.

The Registered Apprenticeship Program can change your life and provide you with unlimited career opportunities.


This program allows students to work as an Apprentice in a recognized trade while earning credits toward a high school diploma and earning a competitive wage. Credits are earned every 25 hours, up to a maximum of 40 credits or 1000 hours. The RAP program is highly competitive. To apply you must complete HCS3000. Your chances of placement will be greatly improved if you focus on the following:

  1. Obtain First Aid Certification

  2. Obtain an Alberta Driver’s License

  3. Complete the Construction Safety Training System Course – available free

  4. Network with potential employers. You can secure your own RAP Placement.

  5. Attend school everyday and be a model student

The process is relatively simple and can be completed online. You will also require a current resume and cover letter.
