Kindergarten to Grade 9 Regular Program
Once you have pre-enrolled or submitted your registration your next step will depend on whether McKernan School is your designated school.
If McKernan is your designated school, confirmed by EPSB's "Find a School" then you have no further steps. McKernan School will contact you with next steps after Pre-Enrollment is complete (After April 15, 2021).
If McKernan is not your designated school, it may be important to review Edmonton Public School's Random Selection Process. If there are more enrollments than McKernan can accommodate, staff will contact you after April 15.
Special Note for English Kindergarten/Grade 1 Registrations
It is important to note that, due to low enrollments over the last few years (including the KG English class being suspended for the 2020/2021 school year), Edmonton Public Schools and School Administration are monitoring the registrations carefully.
The school will call families by April 9, 2021, to let them know if Kindergarten or Grade 1 will be offered in the regular program for the 2021-22 school year. If Kindergarten or Grade 1 are not offered, this will allow them to register at Garneau School or in another Division school prior to the close of pre-enrolment on April 15 at 4 p.m..
