Professional Development Request Form

Any staff member seeking approval to attend a workshop/conference must complete a Google Form to provide details surrounding the professional development event. The link to the Google Form is unique to each school/office, as it will be shared directly with building/office administration for review and approval.

Please be reminded of the following:

• Approval must be granted by your building principal/supervisor prior to Board of Education approval.

• All workshops requiring a payment or an absence must be approved by the Board of Education prior to the workshop.

• The Curriculum Office will handle registration and/or payment, unless a staff member is directed otherwise.

• The administration reserves the right to deny a request to attend a workshop if it does not apply directly to the staff member’s current position.

• The district will not approve out-of-state professional development.

• The district will not approve a multi-day professional development event that requires an overnight stay, except under specific circumstances.

• The district will approve one Professional Day and allow an employee to use one Personal Day in the event that a staff member wishes to attend a multi-day workshop.
