As the final project for the Epping Elementary School science program and the Epping Conservation Commission partnership, the Commission challenged the students to create a scavenger hunt to engage their community in a local conservation area. Fox Run Conservation Area/ Park was the site chosen for this project. Commission members and a volunteer from the Southeast Land Trust of New Hampshire acted as guides to walk the students through the area as they made observations about the natural resources located there. Based on those observations, the students worked in pairs to create a scavenger hunt for the Commission. Only one scavenger hunt will be chosen by the Commission, in June, to be showcased on the Epping Conservation Commission website and used by the community when they explore the park. The finished scavenger hunts are on class pages.
