Esse Quam Videri (EQV) is a student leadership group made up of EA seniors who are elected by their peers and the Upper School faculty on the basis of leadership potential and proven senses of integrity, honesty, and respect. The function of the group is two-fold: it seeks to cultivate a positive and inclusive culture in the school community and it seeks to grow the leadership capacities of each of the EQV members.

The Upper School Student Council represents a voice for the entire student body and serves in an advisory role to the administration while promoting school spirit, morale, and extracurricular activities. Student Council organizes class and school-wide events like Club Fair, Spirit Week, the Homecoming Dance, movie nights, and Aurora-Vesper Day.
Elections for Student Council are held in the Spring for the following school year. Freshmen Student Council elections are held in the Fall.

The Vestry provides spiritual leadership for the student body. They plan and conduct Chapel services in conjunction with the Chaplain and members of the Religion Department. The Vestry establishes the Chapel theme for the year in consultation with members of the school community and identifies the various ways that the theme will be expressed through worship. The 2025-26 Chapel Theme is “Rooted and Grounded in Love."

We explore various medical issues and treatments and then present a project to a panel of doctors from Main Line Health at the Science Symposium in the spring! Other schools involved in Annenberg include Radnor, Agnes Irwin, and Malvern Prep. Aside from this event we meet with doctors every so often from any field of medicine we are interested and go on field trips. Last year we went to the Lankeneau Medical Center to observe a gallbladder removal surgery!

EA’s Asian American Student Union (AASU) is a student-led group aimed at building community, providing a safe space for discussion, and collaborating with other student groups to celebrate our multicultural backgrounds! "The Jewish Student Union (JSU) will be a safe place for people of the Jewish faith, heritage, or supporters to learn more about the culture and ways to combat antisemitism within our community. Those who do not observe the religion are welcome and encouraged to join and learn about the history of Judaism and its people. JSU may also sponsor events to share cultural celebrations with the larger community. There will be fun activities like a Purim carnival with homemade hamantaschen, finding the Afi Comen to learn more about the many traditions of Passover, and movie nights.

This team comes together to strategize how to win with a courthouse as the field of play. Acting as lawyers (thinking on your feet!) and witnesses (acting the part!), Mock Trial sharpens your skills of analysis, collaboration, and public speaking as we compete against other high school teams at the Media Courthouse. A jury of attorneys decide the case and score the competitors. You don’t need to know ANYTHING about the law going in - we will teach you!

Model United Nations is a group of dedicated student diplomats who hone the skills of research, public speaking, and forming well-rounded opinions and arguments in a mock-United Nations setting. In addition to a "mini" session hosted by EA, the Model UN Team's hallmark event is the Ivy League Model United Nations conference at the University of Pennsylvania in January. At this conference, students split into a wide array of different committees, ranging from environmentally-focused General Committees to intense storylines in Crisis committees. Students spend the weekend forming relationships, discussing solutions, and and putting their diplomacy skills to practice.

Have you ever wanted to run your own experiment? Or maybe there was a topic from class that you wish went a little more in depth? Join PJAS! During PJAS, you will be able to pick a science topic of YOUR choice and conduct YOUR own experiment. This is a great experience if you are considering pursuing STEM in college or if you want to gain hands-on experience on how science works. Experiments completed at EA will be presented at regional level competitions with the opportunity for awards and further competition at the state level. Please email Dr. Colyer with any questions!

Physics Club will explore interesting physics phenomena, ranging from how baseballs spin, quantum mechanics, and a hypothetical five-body gravitational system formulating the existence of a low-mass, geologically active, disk-like planet. We also cover topics to prepare you for the Physics Olympiad test. Anybody interested in physics regardless of experience level is welcome!

Queer Straight Alliance is a place where above all, everyone is welcome. As a group we often discuss topics regarding queer representation and issues within our school community and the world at large. We meet once a week and meetings are often relaxed and open, allowing everyone to contribute to the conversation. Whether it's the newest show or a current event, discussions are always open and inclusive.

My club offers a space for people of all grade levels to take a break from the stress of the school day through both reading and sleeping. My vision for this club is one that involves removing anxiety from students, so the club will not allow academic work. I will bring books in for people to read if they do not have their own, and I gather yoga mats for students to rest on. Reading and sleeping are proven to be great ways to destress, and I have found that they help my own anxiety immensely. I look forward to helping others for a second year!

The Rec Room (The Recommendation Room) is a club that hosts presentations and conversations by students for students. These presentations showcase club members' current interests, including TV shows, movies, video games, music, books, and much more. This space encourages students to share their favorite forms of media, allowing others to learn about them and potentially indulge in the content themselves!

Screen actors club is a club for anyone who wants to do some sort of acting on the screen in the future or someone who has a general interest in the topic. We will learn the basics of screen acting including how to make comedy, the magic triangle, how to read and write scripts, and more.

SpeakUp! is a student-led program where students, parents/caregivers, and school adults come together to have honest conversations about real-life topics—like stress, relationships, mental health, social media, and more. It's a space where students choose the topics, and adults learn how to truly listen and support.

Interested in the environment, climate change, or how we can make our school more eco-friendly? The Student Alliance for Sustainability works to educate the school community while making an impact through various projects during the school year. We organize and host meetings with local community members, including nature preserve leaders, who support sustainability initiatives.

The VCSC (Vintage Clothing Sustainability Club) will teach members the negative effects of fast fashion and educate them on how to shop sustainably. We will organize events in which we can gather clothes and get them to those in need as well as discuss our shared interests in vintage clothing.

Yoga Club provides a welcoming environment for students to enhance their physical and mental well-being through guided yoga sessions.
