Say hi in the host chat so we all know you have arrived.
Take a moment to say hello! Feel free to make it your own or use some of the language from the suggested chat blurbs in the Host Guide.
Log in on Facebook and navigate to “Epikos Church” and click on the LIVE video.
Type a comment introducing yourself and welcoming people to the chat.
Log in to your YouTube account and navigate to “Epikos Church” and click on the LIVE video.
Type a comment introducing yourself and welcoming people to the chat.
As people sign in, be sure to respond to each comment. Try to think of the comment window as the church lobby. It’s always ideal to use first names as well. If they have a nickname like “Catlover47” then use their handle name.
For Facebook: Like or react to each person’s comment after you’ve replied. That will help you keep track of who you’ve greeted.
Post a comment or moment asking them to share the stream on social media. Church is about community, and when they share, they have the opportunity to worship with people they know and love. Verbiage for these can be found below under “suggested chat blurbs” in the Host Guide.
Try to keep the conversation moving! If things seem slow, you can find icebreaker questions in the Host Guide.
Please stay logged into chat and respond to messages that arrive until the stream ends.
Let Rebecca know of anything that was odd or confusing about the service when you hosted.
