Files and documents can both be uploaded and used in HubSpot.
Whereas files can be anything from PDFs to images to videos and can be shared as hyperlinks in your sales emails or other collateral, documents require you to enter in the specific email address of the contact you wish to share the document with.
Documents are therefore great to use for assets such as proposals where you can require the client to enter their email address in order to view and you can track exactly who is viewing / for how long etc.
