About Me: I taught in brick and mortar schools for 16 years. This will be my 5th year with Epic. I am very proud to be a part of Epic Charter Schools. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood. I am very excited to begin our journey together. It is going to be an EPIC year!
Establishing a supportive and open relationship concerning your child's education is very important. I believe that communication is a major key to success! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have throughout the year. You can reach me at 405-650-3107 or hillary.lindsey@epiccharterschools.org
This year we will work together in a partnership to develop a learning plan for your student to master the Oklahoma Academic Standards for their grade level.
I typically return phone calls, texts and emails between 8:00am – 5:00pm, as I have breaks from teaching. Please do not call or text after 5:00. Send an email if you need to speak with me after 4:00 or on the weekends.
Please return my phone calls, texts and emails within 24 hours.
I will confirm appointments the day before, usually by text. Please communicate a need to change appointments the day prior to the visit when possible.
Days off from school for extended periods (more than two days) will need to be communicated to me in advance.
I will visit with your family face to face based on your child’s needs throughout the year.
Assignments should be completed in the online curriculum by the pacing guide due dates.
IXL and writing assignments will be completed as assigned.
Homework Help will be utilized as directed.
Written assignments and offline projects will be completed or turned in by assigned due dates.
If your child falls one week behind in their schoolwork, I can put the following actions in place:
lock down their computer
require the student to meet daily pacing goals
extend their school week to include Saturday and Sunday
freeze their learning fund
request a meeting with their principal
withdraw the student from our school
Your child will be required to participate in 3 or 4 school wide benchmarking assessments throughout the school year. These assessments will take place in the Fall, Winter and Spring.
Your child is required to participate in state testing during the month of April. The testing locations may require you to travel for testing. The exact testing dates will be assigned closer to state testing. State testing is mandatory.
