Look at Practice Booklet below. Do not take them until you are told.
6th - 8th Grade:
1. Log into this site: https://oklahoma.measuredprogress.org/student/login
2. Click on "Access the Practice Test" at the bottom.
*If you can't see it, hold the Ctrl key and press the minus key until your screen zooms out far enough.
Username: practice
Password: testing
3. Take all practice tests for your grade. Send your teacher a screenshot of the final result for EACH test that matches your grade.
1. Check Google Maps in advance for your testing site. Know where you are going. Leave yourself plenty of time. Latecomers won't be allowed in.
2. Do not take anything into the building with you other than your calculator and a few #2 pencils. Don't bring mechanical pencils or any paper. That will be provided inside. Leave your cell phone in the car.
3. Eat a good breakfast the morning of.
4. Get plenty of rest the night before!
5. Send me a message when you're finished with your test!
Grades 3–5 Mathematics:
No Calculators, unless there is an IEP accommodation.
Grades 6–7 Mathematics:
Basic four-function calculators that include square root and percent keys but do not include +/- keys are allowed, (Calculators with memory keys, including M+ and M- are acceptable).
Basic Calculator (NO +/- button)
Grade 8 Mathematics and Science:
Scientific calculators meeting general requirements are allowed. You should be using the TI-30XS MultiView that we have been using in class. If you don't have one, AT LEAST take a basic four function calculator.
1. Log into Homework Help.
2. Choose On Demand session.
3. Complete this screen for the assigned booster. You are going to do the ASSESSMENT now, NOT the practice.
4. When the session connects, you are going to type this message in the chat window:
Will you post the questions for me please for Week (fill in your week from your grade at the top of this page) ACT or OAS Booster for (fill in your topic title from the top of this page)?
You may have to request this more than once. Sometimes the tutor will ask you again to post the question.
KEEP ASKING THE TUTOR TO POST THE QUESTION FOR YOU UNTIL HE OR SHE UNDERSTANDS.
5. The tutor will go through approximately 20 questions with you. Use the marking tools to answer questions on the screen. Should you answer incorrectly listen to the tutor's explanations and make sure you are learning.
6. If your session runs out of time, ask for an extension. If the tutor has something scheduled and cannot extend your time, you need to enter BACK into a new On Demand session immediately with a new tutor. DO NOT WAIT. The second session will be faster since you have just learned something. IF YOU ARE A NEW STUDENT, SKIP TO THE FORM AT THE BOTTOM AT THIS POINT.
7. You will share your screen with the tutor and log into Study Island.
8. Click on My Classes.
9. Choose the correct title that you have been assigned.
10. Locate the "Assessment" for your week. Complete this assessment while Homework Help watches.
