Dear Year 11 Students,
Welcome to our virtual taster day. In ordinary times, you would be participating in a full day experience of life as a Sixth Former. However, for the moment, we have had to adapt this into a virutal event. This will take the form of a live Q&A session or presentation with the subject leader or main subject teacher for each area, as well as a introductory session from the Sixth Form Leadership Team.
We hope that this will go some way towards offering you some guidance with your subject choices at Sixth Form. We do also hope to be able to offer a more indepth experience of sixth form lessons on our induction days in late June, but these will only be able to run if public health guidance at that time allows this.
The timetable to the left indicates when each session will take place over the course of the day. You only need to attend one of the introductory sessions and then the sessions for subjects that you are interested in studying at Post-16. If you are interested in pursuing courses at college you should attend the 'Alternate Providers' session. You will find the links to each subject session on the relevant subject pages. You should click on the taster day link at the top of each page just before the session is scheduled to begin. If you haven't already, do watch the presentations on the subject page in advance of your live session.
We do hope you find the sessions useful. If you have any general queries, please contact a member of the Sixth Form Leadership Team. A reminder that you will need to have finalised your applications by 1st March, and you should contact the admissions team with any queries about completing your application.
Kind Regards,
Ms Thomas
Director of Sixth Form
Dear Parents, Carers & Year 11 students,
Welcome to our fantastic school. In ordinary times I am sure that our Open Evening would give you a great sense of what a wonderful place Elthorne Park Sixth Form is and demonstrate how proud we are of our students and staff.
However, this year we have had to move into the digital world of the virtual Open Evening. I and my staff and students have prepared some presentations to showcase our work and to give you a flavour of what life at EPHS Sixth Form will be like.
Please do visit all the pages on our website, ranging from general information to presentations from Senior Leaders, Subject Leaders and students, to information on how to apply online. I believe that you will find the information about our Sixth Form helpful in enabling you to make the best choice for your Post-16 education and hope that one day soon we may meet in person.
Best wishes,
Eliot Wong
