FINGER PUPPET

A finger puppet is a form of puppet that is dominated by one or much more fingers inside the puppet. Finger puppets are typically made up of a sheath into which the person who wears the puppet (the puppet master) puts one or two fingers. While the puppets' movement is limited, numerous finger puppets may be attached to each side, allowing the puppet master to control multiple puppets at once. Finger puppets are a popular craft initiative for parents and younger kids because they're easy to make and their origin as just a form of art is unknown.

SANG KANCIL AND THE TIGER

"Sang Kancil as well as the Tiger" is a famous Malaysian folktale about a cunning mouse deer (Sang Kancil) who outsmarts a ferocious and powerful tiger.

Sang Kancil is roaming through the forest one day when he arrives across a tiger. The tiger notices Sang Kancil and makes the decision he will be his next meal. But Sang Kancil also isn't easily apprehended. He uses his wits and cunning to deceive the tiger and escape.

When Sang Kancil notices the tiger again, he brings some friends with him: a bee, a frog, as well as a mouse. They come up with a plan to finally get rid of the tiger. They persuade the tiger to step into a large trench, promising to join him soon. Sang Kancil as well as his mates escape whereas the tiger is stuck in the pit.

The tiger, on the other hand, is unafraid. He devises a new strategy to apprehend Sang Kancil. He pretends to be ill, waiting for Sang Kancil to approach so he can launch an attack on him. But Sang Kancil also isn't taken in. He deftly informs the tiger that he's aware of a mystical root that really can cure his disease. He takes the tiger to the a ground of ginger seedlings and instructs him to consume the roots. The roots, however, are so hot that they combust the tiger's throat and mouth. Sang Kancil as well as his friends flee once more.

Finally, the tiger abandons his attempt to capture Sang Kancil. He realises that now the mouse deer is way too intelligent for him and decides it's preferable to live in peace rather than constantly fight. Sang Kancil must go about his life, outwitting anybody who attempts to harm him with his wits and cunning.

DO HAVE A LOOK!!!

Here is the demonstration of how the activity of finger puppet can be carried out.

THE MOUNTAIN TECHNIQUE

In the folktale "Sang Kancil and the Tiger," the "The Mountain" storytelling method is used to establish an atmosphere of significant challenge and danger for the main character, Sang Kancil (Bonds, n.d.). The main character in this technique faces an array of escalating challenges, similar to climbing a mountain, for each challenge becoming much more challenging than the last.

In the folklore, Sang Kancil must first outwit a tiger, a risky carnivore that could easily capture and consume him. When he succeeds, the tiger becomes even more resolute to catch him, posing the next challenging problem of outsmarting him with the assistance of his friends. The tiger, however, is undeterred and devises another plan, which results in the final challenging task of tricking this same tiger into eating bad ginger roots, which eventually burns his throat and mouth.

Each task in the narrative is more challenging than the last, giving Sang Kancil a sense of increasing danger and tension. However, due to his smart and resourceful personality, he is capable of overcoming each challenge and ultimately triumph. The storytelling technique used in "The Mountain" adds to the dramatic tension and excitement of the tale, keeping reader interested as they obey Sang Kancil's voyage and root on him to find success in his quest to outwit the tiger.
