The Global Service Rotary eClub is a group of caring Rotarians from 8 countries. We train aspiring entrepreneurs to start and manage businesses that lift them out of poverty…permanently. We teach a 12 week course on entrepreneurship at no cost to all who want to attend. The course is structured in a hybrid format, a one hour virtual class every Saturday followed by an in-person session with a local Rotarian trainer during the week to follow up on homework assignments. Below are the steps in an entrepreneur’s learning.
Step 1. Student Entrepreneurs complete the 12 week Entrepreneurial Training & turn in all homework assignments to the local Rotarian Committee member (aka Supervisor) who lives in their city. The curriculum can be found at entrapov.com/training.
Step 2. After attending all 12 sessions of the training, Student Entrepreneurs submit their Shark Pond Application Packet to their local Rotarian committee member.
Step 3. Local Rotarian committee member schedules a Practice Pitch Event with their Rotary Club to rehearse and get feedback on their business plan.
Step 4. Committee Controller, Rotarian Dalisey Brooks, posts the loan application packet online so donor/sponsors can review the materials prior to their Rotary Shark Pond service project.
Step 5. Two student entrepreneurs pitch their businesses to a North American Rotary Club that is prepared to sponsor (fund) their micro enterprise. The club adopts the entrepreneur of their choice and receives monthly updates, photos, and videos on the business’ progress. The sponsor Rotary club and entrepreneur become friends .
