As per safety rules, the front doors to the Natatorium will be locked at 7:10am. Those swimmers attending late workout (8:15-9:30am) will need to enter a code on the pin pad (next to the doors on the right side) to enter the building. The entry code* is specific to our Masters' team and allows access Monday through Friday between 7:10am and 9:45am only.
*Contact Coach Chris or look on our Team News "bulletin board" if you need the code.
Great news! You will notice that there are new glass doors adjacent to the viewing window in the front lobby of the natatorium. No need to go through the locker rooms or office to get to/leave from the pool deck, as these doors will now serve as an easier and more efficient route!
During the school year, swimmers who attend the Wednesday 8:15-9:30am practice are not to use the big locker rooms for changing, as the Ensworth HS students will be going in and out during their fitness classes.
Note: When sharing the small locker rooms on Wednesdays, please be courteous by taking quick showers after practice, so that everyone can shower and dress in an efficient manner.
As per USMS rules, please remember that cell phone use is not permitted in the locker rooms.
If practice is canceled, I will send out an e-mail to all ENSW swimmers ASAP, as well as post the update on our GroupMe site. If you are unsure about practice, be sure to check your emails and/or GroupMe app before you head to the pool.
I will not send out any emails or texts if practice will be held as usual.
If the Ensworth School campus is closed for the day, it often means that we will not be able to use the pool. This decision is usually made at 5am, and I generally find out at about 5:15am. If you see on the news that the HS is closed for the day, you can probably assume that we need to cancel our workout(s).
Even if practice is “on,” please stay home if you feel uncomfortable about driving to practice due to bad weather or “iffy” roads. Your safety comes first.
If you do not receive any notice about practice and are unsure about its status, please do not hesitate to text/email Coach Chris.
For clarification of the above policy, feel free to contact Coach Chris.
