This code takes a soccer ball and shows its trajectory through a goal. Go in and play around, aiming to figure out the affects of different factors.
Input the following and see what happens:
g = 9.8
k1 = 0.0025
k2 = 0.0228
cd = 0.24
m = 0.43
Specifically, change the mass, gravity, and launch angle (eta) and answer the questions below on how each variable affects the outcome.
Modify the input parameters eta, theta, and omega to make a perfect penalty kick in the upper left hand corner and record at what time after the kick it will score.
Modify the physical constants to model taking a kick at the elevation of Mount Everest (Assume g = 9.77 and that the air density is 1/3 the density at sea level which makes Cd = 0.08 and k1 = 0.00083). Would you still score using your original parameters and when would the ball pass the goal plane?
