IES works with Google Apps for Education (GAFE), which is an adfree version of google apps.

- All changes to documents in GAFE can be traced to the time of change and by whom the edits were made.
- Privacy - The use of sharing data via GAFE should be treated as if discussing work in an open corridor or in a filled classroom
- GAFE like any other tool for communication and publishing, can be misused for bullying, or other forms of harassment. Care must be taken for what is shared via GAFE
