The Resistive Torque Measurement Apparatus Electronics Systems utilizes four key subsystems. The Main Electronics provide power distribution to the entire system and holds the main computational board of the Arduino Mega2560 Rev3. Primary Sensing measures the torque across angular displacement of the intruder during operation, the primary deliverable of the RTMA. The Environmental Sensing system provides additional data to characterize the test data received by Primary Sensing. The User Interaction peripherals allow for simple operation of the RTMA as well as in-field data verification.
The Resistive Torque Measurement Apparatus utilizes a novel Arduino Script to execute automatic data logging with simple user interaction and on site data verification via Bluetooth communication with a separate mobile device.
The .CSV files produced by the Resistive Torque Measurement Apparatus can be analyzed and visualized using a custom MATLAB function. Use 'help analyzeRTMA' for syntax.
