All CSE conference rooms are available for committee and department meetings and events. CSE Departmental, Faculty and Staff meetings and events have priority for room reservations.
Most rooms are equipped with A/V. If additional equipment is required, contact the UCSD Media Center for rentals and information.
Reservations that do not abide by departmental policies are subject to cancellation.
By reserving a CSE conference room (either through self-booking with Google calendars or through the approval process), users are agreeing to the room reservation policies.
With the exception of academic courses (scheduled by the Student Affairs staff), CSE room reservations can not be confirmed prior to the first day of Week 8 of the previous academic quarter.
If you plan to serve food or refreshments, you will be responsible for the set-up and clean up of the space. If you are using the room on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, please take your trash to the dumpster.
Please restore the rooms to their original condition before leaving. Power-off all electronic equipment, projectors and screens, and lights after use. Ensure that all doors are shut and locked.
The use of adhesives are not permitted in CSE conference rooms on (including but not limited to) doors, windows, flooring and furniture.
If you should experience a building problem (i.e. doors not locking, flooding, no lights, etc.), please dial (858) 534-2930 and follow the prompt. If it is an emergency, then dial 911.
Failure to comply with these policies may result in fines and the loss of room use privileges.
Student Affairs Staff will work with instructors to schedule approved CSE seminars in the most suitable conference room available in the CSE building, with the exception of CSE 1241, 1242, and 1244.
All regularly scheduled CSE courses will continue to be scheduled by the cse-scheduling@ucsd.edu account, in classrooms available on general campus – without exception.
The following basement rooms are managed by CSE Student Affairs: B215A, B240A, B250A, B260A, B270A, B275 and are available for TA/Tutor Offices hours.
To schedule CSE course time or to designate a "Home Base" in one of the Basement Lab spaces (B220 - B270), please contact cse-scheduling@ucsd.edu.
The CSE B225 Affiliated Student Organization space is available to those organizations that have received authorization from the department on an academic yearly basis to use this space.
CSE TA and Tutor office hours should be scheduled in the six basement TA/Tutor offices Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:00am- 8:00pm PST. These rooms may be reserved in 30-minute to 1-hour increments. As TAs, you may need to hold office hours if it is part of your expected job duties. You are invited to create office hour reservations through Google Calendar to indicate your availability. TAs & tutors will have access to edit the Google Calendars (GCal) and add their own reservations.
You will receive an invitation to edit the calendar from cse-ta-info@ucsd.edu if you are slated for a course.
CSE TA and Tutor office hours may be scheduled in the building's self-service conference rooms Monday-Friday ONLY after 5:00pm PST, when space is available.
Any TA/Tutor office hours that are self-scheduled in the self-service conference rooms that do not comply with the days/times requirement are subject to cancellation. Individuals will be notified via email that the reservation has been deleted and will be referred to the appropriate resource.
CSE TA and Tutor office hours may be scheduled in CSE 4258 as this room is classified as a seminar room (not self-service conference room).
Effective 10/1/2017, all event reservations taking place in the CSE building during the following days/times require the presence of a UCSD Community Service Officer (CSO). These days/times include Weekdays 9:00pm- 7:00am and Weekends at all times. On an exceptional basis, some events may require different hours for CSO coverage at the discretion of the department. The CSO will be scheduled by the CSE department for event coverage, with all associated fees covered by the reservation group.
