The clock project is the ultimate rite of passage into the mechanical engineering field, combining the most fickle and hard-to-use CAD software (WM2D), obscure physics lectures containing a plethora of indecipherable acronyms, and the final analysis which only uses two concepts mentioned in the lectures. The goal isn't even to build a clock! It's just a ticking pendulum! The only enjoyable parts of this project were the workshop, where we had to handle dangerous heavy-duty industrial machinery, and the feeling of relief after the torturous process finally grinds to a halt at the end of each day. A real clockblocker. Overall, 7.5/10. I enjoyed it a lot and I feel like I've learned a lot as well.
