Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Changing the layout of the inner system to allow for the tape to be housed on the top and back of the product

  • Figuring out the necessary cutting tools needed to be able to reliably use electrical tape

  • Figuring out how to add a trigger system to make the bundling easier

• • CADded a new housing design to switch around the inner layout 

  • Obtained new cutting tools for testing this upcoming week

• • Gave us surgical markers and sterilization sponges

    • Sponges are used by gently dabbing or gently scrubbing

    • Order goes: numb, tape, wash, mark, procedure

  • Test the tape adhesive retention for at least an hour

    • Room temperature water is fine

    • Soak in water, then spray with water every 5 minutes for an hours to simulate bleeding 

  • Electric tape is the optimal tape used

  • Tape the full length of the hair, then bend over and tape again so the hair isn’t so far from the head

  • Procedures use either staples or sutures

    • Ethicon/Johnson and Johnson Surgical Stapler

  • Think about how we can create a simulation
