Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.

• • Created another fastener with a handle (cut some space off to make it graspable) 

  • Purchased more tape (double side tape, electrical tape, scotch tape) to see which one works for

• • Redesign fastener with the tape on the back of the tape gun

  • Increase grip length

  • Consider trigger for gears to pull hair inside to avoid the harsh force we’ve been doing

  • Purchase smaller electrical tape (~13mm width)

    • Liked the design but want the grip longer, move the tape in the back of the gun

    • Still prefers the electrical tape (wants ~13mm)

    • Make sure knife can cut the tape

    • Will be sanitized with a betadine soak and sponge rub

    • Show possible ER procedure for non conventional suturing

    • Remind sponsor the morning before the next meeting for betadine sponges 

    • When showing the gun, hair got caught on the screws

    • Consider force to push the hair through the tape around 

    • Consider bar linkages similar to pliers if we want that kind of design

• • There is still issues with how much force tape the hair (might be strain patient’s hair)

  • Purchase tape saw blade but was not good at cutting electrical tape (unless there’s enough force)
