Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Bag has reached its final design
Sponsor is content with the final length of the bag
Accomplishments from Previous Week
2nd version on user manual has been drafted
CAD for all components has been completed
Full CAD assembly is available
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Attempt to have 50 random people test the setup and give feedback
Update the user manual with this feedback

Meeting with Ronan in person 2/20/20
-Showed Ronan the folding assembly process, manual, and surveys
-Ronan tried to assemble the bag, got a bit stucj on step 5
-Ronan is satisfied with the current folded size
-Bag may not feel a solid as the original one, but feels safe when pushed down
-In finalized design for production, the upper stand bracket will solve this problem
-But this requires industrialized equipment/heat treatment, so up to TDCA
-Manufacturing cost of whole bag around $20?
-Sells for $80-90 in retail stores, not online
-Manual can be shorter/more complete
-Best way would be for no manual needed
-Assembly purely intuitive
-Will look for a way to modify the bag and avoid step 5
-Even if it can be assembled intuitively, still need a simple manual
-Send all CAD to Ronan, no further prototype needed
Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments (indicate date of comments and if via email or in person)
Meeting with Professor in person 2/20/20
-Additional user experience
-Gave random students in PC the bag during lunchtime
-There were problems with the manual
-Hand drawn manual was hard to understand
-Some students struggle at the first step
-Need to have part numbers in the manual
-Source of confusion is from the product, not the manual
-Steps #1-4 are for the tent pole but the tent pole automatically go together
-Consolidate into 1 step
-tell user to make sure is assembled/connected well
-Asked 6 people to test
-Need to ask non-engineering majors
-Lots of people don’t know what golf bag looks like
-Users took 3-4 minutes but we would take
-Can email to Torrey Pines?
-Ask faculty?
-Not engineering faculty
-Reach out to Rady’s? Send a general email?
-Update manual
-Use numbers for parts
-All blue color on square rod faces the front
-Use CAD images
-Make list of all parts in exploded views 1st page
-Know how many parts there are
-2nd page has steps. Each step no more than 2 sentences
-if more than 2 sentences then should be another step
-Continue asking more people to test the bag
-Could do Solidworks animation
-TA comment: go to IKEA and download a manual

Step 2: Extend and connect 2 thinner circular legs
Step 3: Connect square leg
Step 4: Pull apart last joint on square legs and slide into square connector and reconnect
