Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Removable end cap has been machined, peg and peg cap have been 3D printed, cam is currently being machined
Design Finalized and electrical circuit manufactured
Software for the arduino is nearly complete and requires debugging and optimization
Rotary and static seals have been designed
Working on finalizing design of internal component mounts to be 3D printed
Accomplishments from Previous Week
Machined removable end cap, designed seals
Continued development of arduino code
Goals for Next Week (list names after each item). Use specific and measurable objectives.
Begin soldering pin headers onto the Arduino Pro Mini (Calvin and Denis)
Finish machining cam (Alan and Colin)
Building Housing Assembly (David, Alan, Colin, and Denis)
Finalize electrical design with Ed Progue (Calvin and Denis)
Determine a method to secure the electrical leads (powers the motor), ensuring it is waterproof. (Colin, David, Alan, Denis, and Colin)
Sponsor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
Bart worried that the 3D printed peg cap might become stuck in the coil of rope upon release; we determined that the coil of rope could be tied down in a different method than previously thought in order to avoid this problem; no redesign needed.

Risks and Areas of Concern
Need to work into the design a way to relieve pressure when opening and closing the removable end cap, and are unsure how to best do so.
Resources or Information Required but not Available
Schedule
Finish cam Wednesday 5/29. Assemble outer pipe housing, static seal, removable end cap, and rotary seal on Thursday, test seal in small tub of water.
On Friday and over the weekend, work on fabricating the component mounts, and assemble the working prototype.
Aim to have a field test (pool or beach) early week 10.
