Overview of Status of Analysis, Design, Fabrication, Tests, etc.
Final prototype testing is postponed due to glueing issues with Velcro (resolved)
Final design decision on the prototype ratio is going to be determined by Thursday morning
Final prototype fabrication will begin Thursday after completion of the analysis

Instructor Comments from Last Meeting and Actions Taken to Address these Comments
In Person: Design Proposal Presentation (3/1/18)
Silicone has high gas permeability and likely won’t hold a vacuum for long
Found literature to investigate solutions or more appropriate materials
If the stiffness is highly dependent on the vacuum, meaning the vacuum must be held at that magnitude, then activating the cast using a manual pump is not feasible
Have to determine what scale of pump would make the vacuum feasible, or find a way to make the cast as strong in a lower vacuum

Both conventional casts and this project’s cast can be made comfortable with additional gauze or foam
The discomfort of conventional casts comes from not being able to take it off, causing itching and dead skin to pile up
