Founded in 2022, Hispanic Youth Leadership Council (HYLC) is a student-based organization centered around bridging the Hispanic/Latinx Student Achievement Gap via uplifting underrepresented student voices, bringing light to success stories, encouraging community service and involvement in accelerated academic pathways, and increasing access to resources regarding postsecondary options. From attending volunteer events, leadership conferences, and college fairs to engaging with inspiring guest speakers and workshops, our members are empowered to break barriers and make impacts on the world (and, most especially, on the Hispanic/Latinx community) around them---"un paso a la vez" or "one step at a time."
