East Maine District 63 Technology Committee

Technology pervades every aspect of our lives -- and mastering 21st-century skills helps students in school and for the rest of their lives. As part of its commitment to student success, District 63 has launched an initiative to provide one-to-one devices (chromebooks) to students in targeted grades.

The District's Technology Committee (see link above for members), comprising teachers from all seven schools, as well as administrators, a PTO parent representative, and a Board member, will help guide the process.

The purpose of the District Technology Committee is to serve in an advisory role to the school district. Members provide advice on the full range of information and instructional technology directions, strategies, policies, and plans that are vital to the district's missions and programs. The committee will work to help develop technology and instructional solutions to meet the district's strategic needs in consideration of technical, operational and financial considerations.
