What Social Emotional Learning Looks Like in EMSD 37

All students participate in Social Emotional Learning programs within the school day. Students are supported by morning check-in, SEL lessons and counseling staff in all buildings. Students are assets in SEL skills and offered whole building, small group or individual counseling to support the growth of SEL skills.

While SEL skills are embedded within every aspect of our lives and learning our EMSD students participate in social emotional lessons within the classroom to build skills to function in social environments. Our curriculum's support Illinois SEL learning standards and are recognized by CASEL as quality curriculum
