On October 21st, 2019, professionals from the EMSB's student services department hosted a workshop covering the importance of visuals. The workshop covered:
visual schedules
social stories
contingency maps
etc.
Teachers were shown how all of these resources could be used in the classroom and created with Boardmaker Online.
